privacy

What we store. Your account (name and email) and what you create in the app — menus, recipes, shopping lists and food preferences. Everything lives in our own database; there are no ads and no third-party analytics.

The Chef. When you ask the Chef something, your request and your food preferences (family size, diet, foods to avoid) are sent to Google’s Gemini AI to write the answer. Your email and password are never sent.

Passwords. Stored encrypted with modern hashing (Argon2). If you sign in with Google, we never see a password at all.

Cookies. One, and it only keeps you signed in — your browser holds it so you don’t have to type your password on every visit, and clearing it simply signs you out. The app also remembers small things on your own device: which tab you were last on, and words you have typed into your shopping list before, so it can finish them for you. None of it follows you anywhere else — there are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no analytics companies here. If you use Sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its own sign-in page, under its privacy policy.

Your data is yours. We don’t sell it, share it or use it for advertising — ever. You can delete your account any time in Profile, and everything you made is erased permanently.
